Details:
In the classical theory of elliptic curves and modular forms there are important and beautiful connections with the theory of hypergeometric functions. For instance they arise in computing periods and supersingular polynomials, in the study of certain natural families of differential equations of arithmetic significance, and in formulas connecting modular forms of varying weights. In this talk , we explore similar questions over function fields in the setting of Drinfeld modules and modular forms, and we discuss some of the parallels and differences, as well as some open questions.
