MathematischeGesellschaft Local Langlands correspondence for classical groups and affine Hecke algebras |
Speaker:Prof. Dr. Volker Heiermann, Université d'Aix-Marseille
Organizer:Mathematisches Institut
Details:
The smooth complex representations of a p-adic group are supposed to be related to representations of certain affine Hecke algebras. This is known in many cases and in general conjectural. In this talk, I will first recall the link between affine Hecke algebras and smooth complex representations of a p-adic classical group that I established earlier and show then, with help of results of C. Moeglin, that the category of smooth complex representations of a p-adic group and its inner forms decomposes naturally in subcategories which are equivalent to tensor products of categories of unipotent representations of classical groups (in the sense of G .Lusztig). Unipotent representations of any classical groups (orthogonal, symplectic and unitary) do appear in this context for a fixed classical group.
