Information on the development and current state of the Göttingen Campus Event Calendar

The online calendar got realized because of Professor Reinhard Jahn’s initiative as well as the financial and project support of the Göttingen Graduate School for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB), the Cluster of Excellence "Nanoscale Microscopy and Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CNMPB)", the Max Planck Institutes for Biophysical Chemistry (MPI-BPC), for Dynamic and Self-Organization (MPI-DS), for Experimental Medicine (MPI-EM), and for Solar System Research (MPS), the European Neuroscience Institute (ENI), Göttingen Center for Molecular Biosciences (GZMB), the public relations department of Göttingen University and the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen (GWDG).

The software development project is coordinated by Dr. Katrin Wodzicki (GGNB) and Andreas Riechel (public relations department) and supported by representatives of the project partners (mainly from PR and IT). The responsible project leader from the development partner GWDG is Christof Pohl.

The first phase of software development was finished in August 2016. Since September 2016, the aim is on expanding the use of the software beyond the project partner and test user. During the expansion period, of course, not all events on Göttingen Campus are already entered in the system. However, the number of event entries is supposed to grow steadily. Please spread the word, so that we are able to explore the full potential of this new calendar software on Göttingen Campus.

If you have suggestions for further improvement of the platform or face problems, write an email to the project team.

If you are interested in inviting us to a meeting in your institution or collaborative research project in order to introduce the online event calendar and its possibilities, in a small or large group (English or German) please do not hesitate to contact us.
