Details:
During this talk, we are going to give an introduction of the Sato--Tate conjecture. This conjecture predicts the equidistribution of Frobenius traces, associated with an elliptic curve without complex multiplication. In connection with Frobenius traces, Nagao conjectured that the rank of an elliptic surface could be given by a limit formula arising from a weighted average of Frobenius traces from each fiber. One of the main goals of this talk will be to introduce, for the first time, a motivic generalization of Nagao conjecture as well as their links with some well-known conjectures in arithmetic geometry.
